Time To Tri

June Evaluation!!!

June by numbers:

June started with a BANG and sort of fizzled out in general - BUT that was because I had my first tri at the beginning of the month and start marathon training in July.

Running By Numbers:

  • Ran 9 times [11 last month]
  • 28.2 miles [34.7 last month]

July Running Goals:

  • Pick up the pace
  • Start MARATHON training!

Now onto the BIKE!

Bike was awesome.  Since moving, I am right at the entrance of a trail that goes into Philly so I have a safe place to ride forever.  The tri did make me realize that I need to be going faster but I’m having trouble with that right now.

Biking By Numbers:

  • Biked 5 times [9 last month]
  • 93 miles outside [114.3 last month]
  • 0 miles inside [54 last month]

June Biking Goals:

  • Longer distances
  • Increase speed like WHOA
  • Build lower body muscle

And finally - the SWIM! 

Swimming in my tri was the most nerve recking thing I did this month.  I was so scared but did AMAZING!  I can’t wait for my next race to be out there again with all the racers, wetsuit, just swimming.

Swimming By Numbers:

  • Swam 7 times [12 last month]
  • 9,600m [16,500m last month]

June Swimming Goals:

  • Just keep swimming…
  • Swim longer distances

  • July 14 - Spartan Race
  • August 6 - Grings Mill 10k
  • August 24 - Perk Up Half Marathon
  • September 8 - Shoreman Half Ironman
  • September 15 - Rock N Roll Philly Half
  • November 18 - Philadelphia Marathon 

Upcoming Life Events:

  • Set up Roth IRA - may be lost cause right now :-(
  • Stick to budget
  • Have tons of fun :-)
