Time To Tri
1500m swim before finishing packing and picking up the keys for the apartment then WORK!!! Crazy busy day to lead into a crazy busy weekend!!!
So it is getting SO CLOSE!!! The triathlon and the move - so much excitement, I just can’t handle it!!! This morning was a 5.3 mile ride and 2 mile run. Light and fun.
My day off = packing ALL day with a dash of my favorite spin class - 28 miles inside, getting outside tomorrow morning to tackle a hill that got the best of me the other week :-)
Took it easy today for my 1500m swim. Just decided to enjoy it and focus on different stroke techniques, practice my sighting, and have fun. It is one of my last 3 (maybe 4) swims before the triathlon!!!! AHH!!!
Last longer run until race day!!! Did 7 miles today in the humid humid humid weather but it felt GREAT! This time next week I hopefully will be enjoying the bike portion of my very first triathlon!!!!!
Had a GREAT boxing class this morning. Legs were tired and I felt it but overall it went awesome. Tomorrow is a long run. Must be completed.
Bam. Like that. I did an AWESOME 25 mile group ride followed by a 3.2 mile run. I felt amazing and could definitely have done it following a long swim with another 5k at the end. Bring it on Black Bear Tri… bring it on.
OH! Side note - took advantage of groupon for the FIRST TIME and am doing the Spartan Race with my love the weekend before his 25th :-)
So today I tried a mini brick in prep for my olympic brick tomorrow. I had to take my bike in today for its race tune up so I figured mine as well ride it. I only did a 40 minute workout (knowning tomorrow is going to be 3-4 hours). 4 miles on the bike and then 1.5 miles ran. I ran a lot faster off the bike but then got tired quicker…hmm…
